General Meeting coming soon!
The Scandinavian Club of Hawaii was chartered in 1935 and was originally called the Swenorden Club. It's intent was: "The purpose of the club shall be to further the social and recreational interests of the scandinavian community in Hawaii through cultural celebrations and festivities, and to promote the exchange of ideas for the development of understanding and mutual benefit between Hawaii and greater scandinavia." Since then, the club has held festivities such as the Midsommer festival, the Fish Fry, and the Santa Lucia Festival, as well as contributed funds to persons and projects in the scandinavian community in Hawaii. |
